update! NEWS FLASH!

The family reunion has been decided upon.

Mt Rainier, WA

Aug 18th, 19th and the 20th
campsites are being reserved on the 9th of february, by petra and jan.
payment is due no later than june 15th. the campsites cost $27.00 a night plus a $8.50 reservation fee. so 3 nights $89.50 and 4 nights $116.50

located in Eatonville, http://www.whitepasstravel.com/millvillage.htm this is a link to the motel where dad and mom are staying and also sharon and charlotte are staying.
it is the closest place i have found to alder lake park. its just under 8 miles away, mapquest calls it a 14 min drive to the park from mill village motel. $100.00 a night for 2 people (b4 taxes)

lake alder is located between Eatonville and Elbe

i will of course pursue the sweatshirts and t-shirts with a funky logo on them they will be the the same prices as last year most likely..

we need to decide eventually on dinner eat in camp all but one night? there is a place i found jebinos and im looking into that http://www.jebinos.com/ its right up liz and tams alley with a badda bing pizza *wink

other than that its a fairly small town so we dont have tons of options so we might do the whole camp potluck deal and skip going out to eat a night.

thursday: fend for your self night
friday: hay stack it
saturday: burger-misteak (lol)
sunday: breakfast and coffee?

Also on a different note, there is a wildlife zoo like thing we can go and see check it out http://www.nwtrek.org/ it looks pretty cool, info below.

About Trek

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is a treasure for wildlife enthusiasts. This 725-acre park has a little bit of everything: lakes, trails, meadows and plenty of animals. Northwest Trek is home to more than 200 North American animals.
A different kind of wildlife parkSee bighorn sheep, deer, Roosevelt elk, woodland caribou, mountain goats, bison and more up close from comfortable trams while touring the free-roaming area. Walk forested pathways to view grizzlies, black bears, wolves, bobcats, lynx, cougars, owls, eagles and wetland animals in beautiful natural exhibits. Explore five miles of nature trails and enjoy exciting hands-on experiences in the Cheney Family Discovery Center.
A park for all seasonsEach season brings a different look and atmosphere to Northwest Trek. In the winter, the park is quiet, the animals wear thick winter coats and are frisky in the chilly air. If snow comes, the park is a winter wonderland you won't want to miss. Come spring, the park becomes lush with greenery and baby season begins. By summer, bright orange bison calves, tiny fawns and spotted elk calves can be seen. In the fall, the rut or breeding season arrives. This is the time when the bull elk bugle and spar, and the leaves turn to a beautiful gold and red.
For your convenienceThe Fir Bough Café is open year-round, and there is a picnic meadow and sheltered picnic pavilion. Trek also offers a gift shop and group rates a group of 15+ is $12.00 if no group rate $15.00

Wilson Family Reunion

WILSON FAMILY REUNION
OPTION (1)

Mt Rainier Wilson Family Reunion- We really need to decide on this and the ones camping need to make reservations somewhere around the first, the guy said it starts booking up.Details: i called the (888) CAMPOUT (226-7688) number, talked to the guy about what it takes to reserve, he said its all up front. now when i called the Park office: (360) 569-2778 earlier on before thanksgiving i was pretty sure we didnt have to pay up front but that office is closed till january 2nd.

So here is what i need to know are we wanting to the family reunion there on the week of the 18th of aug thru the 21st thats thursday thru sunday.

**OR**

OPTION (2)

Do we want to sit on this until till after the new year and possibly decide on a different camping venue with showers where were not so tied down to a specific date? so we dont have to come up with $84+dollars in january.....

my vote is wait till after the new year to decide i know i wont have the money till january to do a thing. and there are probably a few that wont have the money till june :)Let me know your thoughts your concerns your ideas i am ALL EARS :)

A IDEA! MT RAINIER NOT CONFIRMED

Alder Lake, Camping, Fishing Etc.

an idea for the logo: overfed crazy bird sitting at the top of his tree overlooking mt rainier
Fox in Mt. Rainier
Hidden lakes-7 miles round trip, Palisades Lakes Trail - 500 Elevation gain- moderate
Foxes, deer and grouse can be found in the picnic areas in the Mt. Rainier Park
Reflection Lake- 3 miles rountrip -500 Elevation gain

Alder Lake (2931 acres) This large reservoir covers parts of Pierce (1690 acres), Thurston (1117 acres), and Lewis (124 acres) Counties. It has several boat ramps and good bank access. Primary species include rainbow, cutthroat, kokanee, largemouth bass, yellow perch, black crappie and bullhead catfish. The season is open year-round. Disabled accessibility at Tacoma City Light park - Level 1. WCT, Blk Tpa, dp, docks, mooring.

Question: Why cant we just make this the family re-union? there are tons of cabins around there, and motels, fairly reasonable.

lots of options, food-easy bbq, hot dogs, haystacks and/or maybe one resturaunt out, i say why not.
more info for Alder Lake Park go to link below. http://www.mytpu.org/tacomapower/parks-rec/alder-lake-park/Default.htm
Entrance to Mt. Rainier park is 20-25 mins from Alder Lake Park.
